STOP The Drama... END The Hate... STOMP Out Bullying
A National Anti-Bullying And Cyber Bullying Organization For Kids And Teens
Welcome to the STOMP Out Bullying™
Help Chat Line
Are you being or have you been bullied or cyberbullied?
Are you going through a rough time because of it?
You are not alone! We’re here
to help!
STOMP Out Bullying™ is here to help youth ages 13-24
with issues of being bullied, cyberbullied and for those who may be at-risk for suicide.
We ask that anyone who comes on to the site or uses our phone numbers as pranks, to understand that this is not only illegal in many cases, but you are taking away time from youths who are in real and serious need of our help.
Please consider this when thinking about prank calls and messages. Someone’s life could be in jeopardy.
When the Help Chat Line is not available and you are in crisis please contact the
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at
1-800-273-TALK
(8255)
The STOMP Out Bullying™ Live Help Chat Line is a free and confidential help chat for kids and teens over the age of 13. It is intended to assist those who are victims of all forms of bullying and those who may be at-risk for suicide as a result of being bullied.
Here you can connect with trained volunteers who can help support you without judgments. Our counselors have been specially trained to assist kids and teens who are feeling distressed as a result of being bullied and to respond to all requests for emotional support.
The goal of the STOMP Out Bullying™
Live Help Chat Line is to help you reduce the stress you are feeling as a result of being
bullied and to empower you to make healthy decisions.
You will be asked questions
regarding:
- Your safety
- Emotions and thoughts regarding your situation
- Feelings of depression
- If you have thoughts of suicide
- You are required to use your real first
name on the STOMP
Out Bullying™ Live Help Chat Line
- If a trained volunteer counselor feels that
you are in danger, he or she will talk with you about accessing emergency
services to ensure your safety. Toward the end of the chat, our
trained volunteer counselor will help you explore some options for moving
forward.
-
There may be times when additional contact
information is requested. This will be requested in case the chat is
unexpectedly disconnected or our trained volunteer counselor needs to send
emergency services to you. It is always your choice whether or not you feel
comfortable providing this information to our trained volunteer counselor, but
it is in your best interest to provide the additional contact information. Your
personal information will never be shared unless a volunteer counselor feels
your life is in imminent danger.
When you enter the chat
room please wait for a trained volunteer to assist you as trained volunteers may be assisting others and there will be times
you may have to wait.
When you click on "Chat,"
you will be asked to “log on” where you will enter the chat lobby. If a volunteer
counselor does not answer your chat immediately, please be patient as they
may be on another chat. You may need to try again in a half
hour, but every attempt will also be made to connect to you as soon as
possible.
When chat counselors are busy with others and you are in crisis, are in need of immediate assistance or have an emergency, please contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at
1-800-273-TALK (8255).
This
service is available to U.S. Residents only. Our chat help line cannot be
accessed from any mobile device and must be accessed from a secure Internet
connection.
The Help Chat Line is not available to
