The aim of National Culture Week is to ignite a nationwide conversation among young people about the importance of challenging our preconceived notions about races and cultures that differ from our own.
The goal of National Culture Week is to shift the narrative from one of fear and exclusion to one of kindness and inclusivity by providing an opportunity for youths to share and learn from each other’s diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences.
What you’re signing up for as a National Culture Week Ambassador
As a National Culture Week ambassador, you ensure that your school participates in National Culture Week and the Culture Shock Livestream Event. It will be your role to encourage converstaion and the exchange of ideas between students as well as fostering ongoing activities throughout the week. Activities can include suggestions from the guide we will offer you, or you can create your own activities.
We make it easy for you to bring this experience to your students. Simply register to become an official Culture Week Ambassador and STOMP Out Bullying will email you links to everything you need for the week.
As a Culture Week Ambassador:
- You'll receive a private access link to Culture Shock, our exclusive livestream event on April 30th, with the ability to livestream it in:
- the classroom
- an assembly or auditorium
- directly to student devices
- You'll receive a link to our Culture Week Guide which contains a full week of programming ideas and activities to support National Culture Week in your school or classroom
- Your name and school will be recognized on our website
- You’ll join a national movement of educators creating more inclusive, connected school environments

Culture Shock is more than just a livestream experience; it's a practical resource that educators can use to inform their teaching practices throughout the year.
