NY Jets President Neil Glat and STOMP Out Bullying Board Director Ira Levy
STOMP Out Bullying is the leading national anti-bullying and cyberbullying organization for kids and teens in the U.S. STOMP Out Bullying is an organization focused on bringing awareness and education to children, teens, parents, and schools to help minimize bullying through kindness, empathy, and acceptance of others.
Bullying has become a huge problem as of late, mainly because of how long the issue of bullying has been swept under the rug. 1-in-4 students experience bullying during the school year and 43 percent of students experience cyberbullying during their lifetime.
On top of the $35,000 donation to STOMP Out Bullying, the New York Jets unveiled a new public service announcement that features Jets players on the stadium video boards. The Jets also continue their Upstander of the Week program, that features a student that has helped another person from being bullied.
The New York Jets are also doing their part to help get you involved. For every time someone used the hashtag #JetsTackleBullying on Twitter and Instagram, the New York Jets organization made an additional donation to STOMP Out Bullying of one dollar for each post up to an additional $10,000.
Make sure to hop on Twitter or Instagram and post #JetsTackleBullying to do your part to help eliminate an issue that no child should ever have to face.
STOMP Out Bullying is so grateful to the NY Jets for their partnership, generosity and support.
